This Privacy Policy explains what ByteBunny, LLC (“we”, “us”) collects when you use Cruise Price Drops at cruisepricedrops.com and its email alerts (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. If you create an account: your email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash by our authentication provider). If you set up watches: the sailings and products you choose, the alert type, and any purchase or target price you enter. If you contact us: what you send.

Information collected automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) kept for security and troubleshooting; whether an alert email was delivered, bounced, or reported as spam; and your theme preference, stored in your browser only.

What we do not collect. We never ask for or store your cruise line login, reservation number, loyalty number, or payment card details. We do not collect precise location. We do not buy data about you from third parties.

Price data is not personal data. The prices we display are read from the cruise line’s public Cruise Planner listing and are shared across everyone looking at the same sailing. They contain nothing about you.

2. How we use information

To run the Service: show you your cruises and watches, evaluate prices against your alert settings, and send the alert emails you asked for. To keep it working and safe: detect abuse, diagnose problems, and enforce our Terms. To communicate with you about the Service, such as a change to these policies. We do not use your information for profiling or automated decisions with legal effect.

3. Email

We send email only to addresses that have been verified through the sign-up code, and only the alerts you set up plus essential service notices. Every alert includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn alerts off in Settings; both take effect immediately. If an email to you bounces permanently or is reported as spam, we stop sending to that address.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, authentication via Amazon Cognito, and email delivery via Amazon SES), all in the United States. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of anyone, or as part of a merger or transfer of the Service, in which case this policy continues to apply.

We do not share your information with Royal Caribbean or any cruise line. Our price checks are made from our own servers and are not associated with your account or identity.

5. Advertising and cookies

The Service uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. If we display third-party advertising (for example Google AdSense), the ad provider may set its own cookies or identifiers to show and measure ads, which may be personalized where permitted; where consent is required by law, we will ask for it before those cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the footer. Ad providers’ use of data is governed by their own policies. You can also limit ad personalization through your browser and device settings.

6. Retention

Account details and watches are kept while your account exists. Alert history is kept for 90 days. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Shared price observations are kept for 12 months. When you delete your account, your cruises, watches, and alert history are deleted promptly; a short-lived deletion marker prevents a stale login session from recreating the account, and backups roll off on their normal schedule.

7. Your rights and choices

You can view and change your watches, turn alerts off, and delete your account from Settings at any time. Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and California privacy law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise a right that Settings does not cover, email hello@cruisepricedrops.com; we will respond within the time the law requires. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to what the Service needs, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No method is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States and your information is stored there. By using it from elsewhere you understand that your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be posted on the Service or emailed to account holders.
